A little more about me…
My passion is supporting Christian women physicians who desire greater joy, energy, and clarity in their personal and professional calling.
As an internal medicine physician and professional physician life and leadership coach, I understand the unique pressures of medical practice and the deep sense of calling many women physicians carry, and how pressures on all sides can make living out that calling hard.
I’ve been coaching physicians since 2013, working primarily with women physicians across all specialties and career stages. I work with women across a broad spectrum of topics, including physician well-being, leadership development, career direction, relational challenges, and spiritual growth—helping women physicians live, serve and lead with intention in their present season of life.
I had the privilege, with two other excellent physician coaches, to co-found the Christian Medical & Dental Association (CMDA) Coaching and Coaching Training Program in 2014, and served as Director from 2019 to 2025. I love training other healthcare professionals to listen deeply and ask more powerful questions, helping them acquire coaching skills they can apply as leaders, clinicians and in various aspects of life. Our team has co-developed and delivered CME-approved physician coaching training to more than 400 healthcare professionals from the United States and over 20 countries. I have also been a frequent speaker at CMDA and Women Physicians and Dentists in Christ (WPDC) conferences on topics related to physician well-being, leadership, and personal development.
My calling to support women physicians began in medical school through leading the CMDA student group and continued through years of mentoring students and residents, precepting learners, and creating spaces for women physicians to connect and support one another. When I was first introduced to professional coaching in 2010, I recognized it as the skill set I had been seeking without knowing it existed. After completing formal training and certification, I eventually felt led to step away from clinical medicine a few years ago to focus fully on physician coaching, speaking, and physician coach training.
I hold an advanced Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential through the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and have been an ICF-licensed physician coaching trainer since 2016. As a Strengths-Champion Certified Coach I have extensive experience helping physicians understand and leverage their God-given strengths using Gallup’s Clifton Strengths All 34 assessment.
I am married to a surgeon and am the grateful mother of two adult children who live nearby, along with an affectionate Australian Labradoodle. Outside of my professional work, I enjoy playing guitar and piano, photography, art, and long walks on the beach.
I would be honored to meet you, hear your story, and explore together what God may open up as you experience being deeply heard, challenged by thoughtful questions, and prompted to consider new perspectives.
